I noticed that AIU online has 2 BS degrees that I am interested in; Programming and Network Security. The Upper Division Core Courses are all exactly the same, and the only place the 2 degrees differ is in the Concentration Courses. See:
(Both degrees are exactly the same here)
Upper Division Core Courses
Relational Database Management Systems
Computer Networks
Data Structures and Implementation
IT Project and Team Management
Data Modeling and Design
Human/Computer Interfaces and Interaction
Planning and Implementing a Network
Data Mining and Warehousing
Program Capstone
(And here is where they differ)
Programming
Concentration Courses
Advanced Object Oriented Application Development
Network Programming and Data-connected Application Development
Server Side Web Programming
Distributed Systems
Network Security
Concentration Courses
Defense in Depth
Intrusion Detection and Prevention for Windows Security
Unix Security
Cryptographic Security Principles and Methods
***Does this mean that after I get my BS in Programming, I can take the Concentration Courses for Network Security and I will have a 2nd BS?
Although i appreciate the advice regarding AIU, please just answer the question and ignore what university it is…
